Good Questions, Honest Answers

Everything Eugene neighbors usually want to know before their first visit — and if we missed one, just call.

Which parts of the Eugene area do you serve?

Our home base is Eugene (97401), and we cover about a 20-mile reach around it. That takes in every part of the city, including the Whiteaker, Jefferson Westside, the Friendly Area, Fairmount, Laurel Hill, the South Hills, Cal Young, Bethel, River Road and Santa Clara, plus Springfield, Thurston, Coburg, Junction City, Pleasant Hill and Creswell. If your address sits near the edge, give us a call; a fuller list usually makes the drive worthwhile.

Is there a charge for an estimate?

No. Many jobs can be priced firmly from a few photos and a quick conversation on the phone. Bigger or harder-to-predict projects get a free visit so we can see them in person. Either way, you know the number before you put anything on the calendar.

Do you bill hourly or by the job?

Wherever possible we quote a set price for the job so you know the cost going in. For an open-ended list of odds and ends, we agree together on a rate and a rough scope before we start. If the work moves faster than planned, you pay less, not more.

Are your pros licensed and insured?

Yes. The work is done by insured local pros who hold the licenses and registrations required in Oregon for the job at hand, so electrical and plumbing connections are handled by licensed tradespeople. Ask us anything before we start.

What kinds of jobs can you handle?

We take on the repair and upkeep work every house needs: drywall and plaster patching, door adjustments, TV and shelf mounting, furniture assembly, ceiling fans, light fixtures, dimmers and smart switches, hardwired doorbells and thermostats, faucet, toilet, disposal and supply line repairs and replacements, fence and gate fixes, gutter cleaning, pressure washing, paint touch-ups, garage storage and seasonal maintenance. Put everything on the list, small items included, and we'll set up one visit to cover it.

Do you work on rentals near the university?

Yes, and it's a steady part of our work in Eugene. Around campus, in the West University area and along the edges of Fairmount and South University, a lot of houses and apartments turn over every June and again before fall term. We patch and paint walls, fix doors, locks and blinds, sort out running toilets and dripping faucets, and clear the small items on a move-out list so the place is ready for the next tenants on time.

Can you help get the house ready for the rainy season?

That's one of our most useful visits. Ideally in late September or early October, before the steady rain sets in, we clean gutters and downspouts, clear moss that's building up along roof edges and walks, check caulking around windows and trim, adjust doors and weatherstripping so they seal, and look for anywhere water is already sneaking in. An hour of prevention in the fall is far cheaper than chasing a leak in the middle of January.

Can I text you photos of the problem?

Yes, please. Two or three clear photos, one up close and one from a step back, plus a line about what's going on, usually tell us enough to understand the job and often to price it. It also means we can load the right parts and get it done on the first trip.

How soon can you come out?

Call or use the contact form with your address and a short description of the work. We'll offer a real arrival window rather than an all-day wait, and we'll let you know if we're running behind. Smaller jobs can often be scheduled within the week, and longer lists may take a few extra days so we can reserve enough time to finish everything in one visit.

Got a list? Let's shorten it.

One quick call or text gets you a real price and a real arrival time — usually within the week.
